The PSP Go has received some extremely mixed reactions since its announcement. I've heard too expensive, the buttons are too small and cramped, no UMD redeeming and ugly. Well I'm here too instead give a positive review of the Go. Thats right. I said positive. I actually like it.

So heres the deal: I have disposable income so I decided to grab a white Go. Why? I just said I had disposable income. Pay attention. My first reaction to it is that it is absolutely tiny. Its only a little larger than the screen on my old 2000 model. Its so small you can actually throw it in a pocket and forget its there instantly. Its, dare I say, portable. Granted the buttons are smaller and the shoulder buttons are a bit mushy but after 15 minutes I had honestly forgotten about it. This is strictly opinion but I think the device is very slick looking.

Now I know that you might be thinking "if you have a 2000 model why get this? You'll lose your games!" Well never fear for I own no physical PSP games. I liked the PSP because I could download games (illegally..) and not have to carry disks. The Go has 16gb of storage and I can shell out the $40 maximum for a PSP game ($15-20 is more common on games I have bought) so im perfectly happy with it in that regard. On top of that if you've ever put a PSP slim in your pocket you'll soon realize its not that slim. Its small for being more or less a PS2 but no something you want in your pants all day. The Go, on the other hand, is like a large phone and has been residing in my back pocket nearly 24/7 without once trying to pull my pants down like the 2000 did.

Yes, its too expensive and if you own UMDs you might be miffed but If you have money to blow (take that recession) and either have no UMDs or are new to PSP the Go is great in my honest opinion.

Just to see if I got it right. Are you (trying to) compare a ps2 to a psp-2000?

Also, the positioning of the dpad/analog stick. What's up with Sony and analog sticks? IMO, the analog stick should be where the dpad is.

Thanks for the review - it was nice to read someone that was actually happy with it.

Look at Assasins Creed: Bloodlines, Gran Turismo or God of War for PSP then look at any PS2 game. Visually its very much the same.

Yeah, no doubt, if it's about graphics.
